Osprey L-06

Osprey L-06 is a wonderful unit! Roomy, perfect location, and kitchen is well-stocked. This is our second visit to the Destin West, but our first time in this unit. Our family of 8 had plenty of room. The pools/lazy river are fabulous! Staff very friendly. The only issue we had AT ALL was our AC units didn’t keep the condo as cool as we desired. It wasn’t miserably hot nor even unbearable; but at night it was warmer than we desired. We kept the sliding doors closed & followed the directions for the 2 units; but it still stayed around 72 degrees at night. The outside temp was high 80’s, so maybe that was the issue. Overall, it didn’t affect our wonderful vacation and we will be back! :)

Great condo on lower level with private walk out to pool level off of our patio. Private hot tub and also nice. Comfortable stay. We would absolutely go back.

This was our second time staying at a condo in Destin West Beach Bay and Resorts with this being our first stay in this condo. No major complaints. We have only stayed on the bottom floor and fine this most convenient. We had ages from 2 to 41 staying in our condo. Kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking needs. Only suggestion would be to add an air-fryer. This condo fit our family of 11 nicely.

Great condo, located right by the lazy river, close to the pier on the bay. The unit had a large deck with its own hot tub and propane BBQ. Conveniently located near a convenience store with propane refills, beer, wine, and snacks at reasonable prices, considering it is a resort area. The condo was in good condition and clean. But we could not find the unit when we got to the complex. The address said "L-06". I texted to ask if this meant "Level-6". The owner never responded. We looked all around the 6th floor when we got there. It turns out "L" means "2". If you rent this condo, go to the 2nd floor and look for unit L-06. The owner is not as responsive to texts as I am used to, and check-in time is outside normal hours, so you can't call the normal phone number. We finally had to call the emergency number and it took them a while to figure out which unit was ours. Not what we wanted to be doing after a long drive. But once we got into our unit, we had a great vacation with the kids and grandkids. Oh, one other pro tip, the lighting instructions are worn off the BBQ. The burner that lights with the push-button igniter is not the one by the button; it is the second one over to the right. If you look under the BBQ panel, it is easy to see where the ignition wire goes.

This condo is spacious and clean with easy access to the pool and close to the elevators and trash shoot yet very quiet. We are snowbirds and rent from January to March through Best Beach Getaways with Robyn as our contact. Robyn is prompt and very polite with replying to texts, comments and concerns and we recommend her highly. Robyn works closely with Destin West Bayside contact Delphine who is also very personable, professional and knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to take care of all guests. Kevin, Henry and the other groundskeepers work very hard to keep things looking sharp, clean and inviting. They are much appreciated for their hard work.
Pros of the condo; This condo is not over decorated with knickknacks which is a welcome find !!! As well as the condo being spacious and clean, the kitchen is very well stocked with silverware, pots/pans, glasses, crockpots, utensils and spare cupboard space for food. Seating is spacious. The master bedroom is large with a lot of storage and a large en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms have adequate space and very comfortable beds throughout the condo. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets as well which you rarely find.
Cons; The condo sleeps 12 and only supply’s 7 towels which is fine for my husband and I but we had company totaling 8 people coming to visit so we purchased extra towels. After speaking with Delphine one day, she said she would have sent over more towels so we will remember that for next year. The children’s room is missing a closet door. The laundry room is also spacious but the washer didn’t clean the clothes at all and the dryer took a very long time to dry even a small load. Depending on how long your stay is you may opt for a laundry mat.
A final note: This condo offers the use of an outdoor grill (which we used and cleaned often) and a hot tub on the lower patio area.
There were several issues with the hot tub that ended up with the condo owner opting to upgrade the old tub to a brand new hot tub that seats seven. ????
We were here for 9 weeks and unfortunately we were only able to use the hot tub for less than two weeks of our stay. Robyn at Best Beach Getaways is making adjustments for that loss which wasn’t necessarily expected but we were pleasantly surprised and grateful. The new hot tub is glorious and we’re looking forward to returning next year. If you’re booking this condo and enjoy a nice hot tub, you’re in for a treat! Enjoy!

The condo was beautiful, spacious and very clean! Had everything we needed! We were in a great location with shops and dinning close by, but away from the Destin traffic! It rained or was cloudy the majority time we were there, but the relaxing lazy river, pools, hot tub and fishing on the bay made it up for the not so great weather! One “complaint” and is that the condos personal hot tub did not get very hot, it was more of a warm tub! But we still enjoyed it! This condo is also great if you have small children, my three year granddaughter navigated the steps easily.

Our stay was great and relaxing. The property was very nice and we enjoyed the hot tub during the unseasonably cold weather. Condo was warm and welcoming and well furnished.
